I am a traveler, thrill seeker, and nature enthusiast. I take that part of my soul and mix it with my passion for photographing people and the moments that matter most. Capturing the love you share, the firsts, and everything in between is more than what I do. It's what I love. I believe your photographs should feel like you, so I take the time to get to know your story and create an experience that is personal, meaningful, and centered around the two of you.

I've always loved working with people. In 2006, I began my career as a hairstylist, helping clients celebrate milestones through every season of life. When I picked up my first camera in 2009, photography quickly became another creative outlet that I couldn't get enough of. I studied everything I could, practiced every chance I had, and photographed families, maternity sessions, seniors, and just about everything in between.
Then something unexpected happened. The children of many of my longtime salon clients started getting engaged. I photographed my first wedding in 2014, and from that day on, I was hooked. Even as I continued photographing other seasons of life, weddings kept finding their way to me, and before long, I realized they were where my heart belonged.
There's something incredibly meaningful about documenting the beginning of a marriage. Every couple has a story that's entirely their own, and I feel honored to preserve it with care, honesty, and intention. It's more than creating beautiful photographs. It's preserving the laughter, the quiet moments, and the connections that will become part of your family's story for generations to come.
My Why
Thank you for stopping by! My name is Anita McLeod, and I'm so happy you're here. I want to share a little about myself and why photography has become such a meaningful part of my life. Born and raised in Tucson, I've always been inspired by the desert, the way light transforms a landscape, and the stories that make every person and every relationship one of a kind.
My love for photography began in 2009 and quickly became more than a hobby. I read camera manuals cover to cover, joined communities of professional photographers, and studied everything I could. The more I learned about light, composition, and the art behind the camera, the more I fell in love with creating photographs that hold meaning for the people in them.
Looking back, I think creativity has always been part of who I am. My grandfather served as a first lieutenant in the Air Corps during World War II and photographed the world from the air in black and white. My other grandfather was an incredibly talented artist whose work still hangs throughout my home today. Spending time with him in his studio as I was growing up sparked a love of art that has stayed with me ever since, and I like to think both of them played a part in shaping the photographer I am today.
